Halo 4 Easy Rank Up!

This instructional guide will help you reach the highest rank possible in halo 4 rank SR130.

First you start off with your basic rank SR1,(SR stands for Spartan Rank).

You're going to need to jump in to a few games to get the feel of the game so I'd start with a basic few 'team slayer' game modes to build your rank to at least SR5 once you've reached this you will want to begin to start with your own custom class maybe a DMR or a BR (TIP: if you like to stay back and shoot from afar pick the DMR, its great for long range shooting. BR is good with short range to medium).

The DMR stands for (Designated Marksman Rifle) (singe fire shot)

BR stands for (Battle Rifle)  (3 round burst)

Your sidearm really depends on what map go with a magnum to be safe, some frag grenades will do it to. dont worry about armour abilities just yet until you get to the rank of SR 50 which yes sounds very high but you start to unlock the specialization classes which I will get to in a bit. So now that your custom class or classes are ready you are going to want to head into a 'CTF' game mode (capture the flag), you're going to want to bring a few friends along for the fight to help you rank up too. Its a 5V5 game mode so try and fill your team.

So what you and your team are going to want to do is try and capture all but one of the flags available until that last flag is in your team mates hand or yours, you or your team mate are going to have to sit back at your own base while the rest of the team or you go out and kill the team. This sounds easy but you are probably thinking why not on team slayer also, basically on team slayer you are only limited to a set amount of time but on CTF there is a lot more time so more time to kill the players try and get a strategy going stick into a group so you don't get singled out and watch out for grenades when inside a small building.

Once you are rank SR50 you get a choice of what specialization you want to pick here is all of them. Each one can be unlocked every 10 ranks once rank 50.

The one you are going to need is 'Pioneer' because it has a tactical package called 'FAST TRACK' which basically gets you faster up the ranks, a lot faster! but you are going to have to advance another 10 levels before actually getting this tactical package which is rather annoying but its worth it! once you have this tactical package you are ready to boost with the CTF game mode I told you about earlier.

Here are some map strategies that will help you in game I'm adding only my top 3, you can include some tips from each map into other.

Above is a strategy guide for the Map Ragnarok I use this a lot due to the win ratio of my game play (note: you must have a full team that can communicate with each other it is a must!). Each side has various vantage points but the side with the black arrows is the more winnable area due to its cover areas and the distance to the cover areas. Okay so what you are going to want to do is in BTB(Big Team Battle 8 VS 8). If you are spawning on the black arrows side you need to pair up some of your troops, for instance I would Send 2 troops to the pelican left side facing the red circle, 2 troops right side to the machine gun turret. Right at the back of the tower where you spawn should be a banshee and a tank/mantis I normally get people in them first especially the banshee as I want 2 people to run straight for the flag in center and have some cover from the other banshee for the 2 guys running for the flag the 2 sides should be taken and covered in case they get the flag and they can be easily taken down if this does happen and the sides are not covered then you are going to want to bring in some heavies like the sniper back at base one of your troops who are going either side should pick up one of these at the start to cover long distances. The weapon of choice for the start for me would be the dmr or the light rifle due to there long range capability's. once you have covered all the vantage points you are going to want to keep your troops at there points and if you have fully secured everything with your troops doing well keep capturing until there is 1 more flag remaining, keep this flag right at your base close to the capture point now with your troops they should be raking in the kills.

For the white arrows side it is a bit more complicated due to the ground needing to be covered but it is still manageable because they have a sniper nest arrow pointing left facing the red circle. You are going to want to get your best sniper up there and get everyone pushing right side to the cave, all the heavies should push left (mantis/tank and banshee. Your sniper in this is key because he can cover you from anyone from the pelican and the middle. With most of your troops pushing for pelican there should never be more than a couple of guys there so it should be easy to take down, once you've captured that area and it is secured you are going to want to stop anyone getting the flag and so should the sniper back at your base. once you have secured that area and your heavies are still alive on the left side send a couple of troops to the enemy's side through there cave, it is best to do this so that they cant push because that is their best vantage point once all areas are secured then do the same as right side with the capturing flags boost.

I hope this guide helps you and feel free to leave any tips yourself

HAPPY GAMING!
